Terms of Use
Last updated 28 September 2026
These terms cover your use of the Alright app and its services. By using Alright, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Alright is not a vet. It gives general information about pet health. It can't examine your pet, and it doesn't create a vet–client–patient relationship. If your pet might be in danger, call your vet or an emergency clinic now; don't wait for an answer in the app.
1. Who we are
Alright (“Alright”, “we”, “us”) is developed by the developer named on Alright's App Store page. You can reach us at support@alright.pet.
2. Who can use Alright
You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian's permission. Alright is for pet owners and carers, and it's made for questions about animals, not people.
3. What Alright does, and its limits
- Answers are written by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) from what you share. They can be wrong or incomplete, even when they sound confident.
- Every answer says how soon we think your pet should see a vet. Treat that as a guide, not a guarantee. If your pet seems worse than the answer suggests, trust your instinct and call a vet.
- Alright doesn't diagnose, prescribe or replace a vet's examination, advice or treatment. Always follow your vet's advice over the app's.
- The emergency vet list, opening hours and poison line numbers come from third parties such as Apple Maps and Google Maps, and they can be out of date. Call ahead when you can.
- You decide what to do for your pet, and you're responsible for those decisions.
4. Your account
You sign in with Apple or with a code sent to your email address. Keep access to your Apple Account and email secure; you're responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app's Settings.
5. Free answers and Alright Premium
- New accounts can try a small number of free answers (currently 3). Guidance for emergencies is never behind the paywall.
- Alright Premium is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. It renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends; your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before then.
- If an introductory offer or free trial is available, it's shown before you buy, and it's limited to one per Apple Account. Whatever's left of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings (tap your name, then Subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; Premium stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Premium includes a monthly allowance of answers (currently 150 a month, with a daily limit, and 25 during a free trial). We may change allowances for future periods, and we'll tell you in the app before a change affects you.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
6. Using Alright fairly
Please don't:
- use Alright for questions about human health, or as a general chatbot;
- upload anything unlawful, or photos and files you don't have the right to share;
- try to break, overload or get around Alright's limits or security, or copy, resell or scrape the service;
- use Alright to harm animals or people.
If Alright is used this way, we may limit or end access to it.
7. What you share
You own what you share with Alright: your messages, photos and files. You give us permission to process it only to run Alright for you: to send it to our AI provider to write your answer and a short summary, and to show you the results. Our privacy policy explains exactly what goes where.
8. The app itself
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Alright on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and Apple's App Store rules. Alright's design, artwork, sounds, name and code belong to us or our licensors. Please don't copy, modify or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it.
9. Changes and availability
We keep improving Alright, so features may change. We may pause the service for maintenance or if something goes wrong, and we can't promise it will always be available. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or on this page before the change takes effect.
10. Ending
You can stop using Alright and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections 3, 7, 11 and 12 keep applying after that.
11. Warranties and responsibility
Alright is provided “as is”. As far as the law allows, we don't promise that answers will be accurate, complete or suited to your pet, or that the app will be error-free. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses that come from relying on Alright instead of a vet, or from things outside our reasonable control. None of this limits responsibility that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights under consumer protection law where you live.
12. Apple and the App Store
You got Alright from Apple's App Store, so these points also apply:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for Alright and its content.
- Your licence is limited to using Alright on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as the App Store's Usage Rules allow.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Alright. Please contact us instead.
- If Alright fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may tell Apple, and Apple may refund the price you paid for the app, if any. As far as the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for Alright.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims about Alright, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection claims.
- If anyone claims that Alright or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for dealing with that claim.
- You confirm that you're not in a country under a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you're not on a U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must also follow the terms of any third-party service you use with Alright, such as your mobile carrier.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
